Holstein Kiel extends the contract with goalkeeper Jonas Krumrey until June 30, 2028. At the same time, the second-division football club from Schleswig-Holstein announced that the 22-year-old will be loaned to promoted club VfL Osnabrück for a year. Jonas Krumrey played 22 second-division games for Holstein Kiel. Kieler Sports Director Olaf Rebbe said: «The loan to VfL Osnabrück is a deliberate decision to enable Jonas to gain further match practice at a high level.» For Osnabrück's Football Director Joe Enochs, it is clear: «We are convinced that he is one of the greatest German goalkeeper talents and fits perfectly into our way.» The contract extension and loan of Jonas Krumrey are an important step for Holstein Kiel to support the goalkeeper and offer him further development opportunities. Jonas Krumrey will have the chance to play regularly at VfL Osnabrück and gain experience. The 22-year-old will thus be an important part of VfL Osnabrück's team and will prepare for the challenges in the second division. The loan of Jonas Krumrey is a good example of the cooperation between Holstein Kiel and VfL Osnabrück. Both clubs work closely together to promote young talents and give them the opportunity to develop.
